Crew Anning (GAS) / Parks (COG) have been busy sorting through all the lost property that has gathered over the term. They’ve taken photos of each item and organised everything neatly so students can easily find anything that may have gone missing.
All items are now in the XP East office.
If you spot something in the photos that belongs to your child, please ask them to pop down to the office and collect it at their earliest convenience.

Thanks Year 9 Crew
Last week was full of amazing after school fixtures.
Year 7 and 9 netball teams hosted Ridgewood, all students were excellent representatives from XP and XP East. Year 9 produced some amazing netball and won their match, unfortunately year 7 were not as lucky and just missed out. Well done to our sports leaders for supporting umpiring the matches. We had two outstanding players of the match from attack and defence. Well done , keep it up.

On the same night we also hosted the year 7 and 8 girls central venue football tournament. Huge well done to the Year 7/8 football team on winning all 3 of their matches. Absolute superstars.

We are excited to announce that E31 will be presenting their learning on Tuesday 16th December from 4:00–5:00pm. This special event will celebrate the incredible work students have completed throughout their Being Human learning expedition.
Over the past term, E31 learners have explored what it means to be human, investigating identity, empathy, relationships, challenges, and the shared experiences that connect us all. Guided by their guiding question, “What does it mean to be human?”, students have engaged in deep thinking, thoughtful discussion, and creative expression.
This will be a meaningful and inspiring event, and we would love to see our community there to support and celebrate the hard work of E31.
We look forward to welcoming you on 16th December!
Thanks Year 8 Team

E30 Explorer have been grappling with the comparison of France and China’s population policies in Geography this week! Examining the strengths and weaknesses of arguments, and providing their personal opinion on the ethical and moral aspect of Governments regulating their populations. Super impressed with their grapple and craftsmanship displayed in their work and discussions!

Year 9 students Presentation of Learning will be held in XP East School on 11th December at 4.15pm.
Student’s will be presenting their learning from the expedition as well as showcasing their guide to their local areas. This term students have studied structures through the lens of history, geography, English and Science to answer the guiding question:
How are structures important in helping to explain our world?
On the evening students will need to remain in school before the presentation of learning and as a result may want to bring a snack or something to eat before the event.
We look forward to welcoming you on the evening.
The Year 9 Team

We are excited to announce a fun-filled day of festive cheer and fundraising as we take part in Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 11th December.
This annual event is a wonderful way to bring our school community together while raising vital funds for a fantastic cause: Save the Children.
On Thursday, December 11th, we are encouraging all students to come to school wearing their favourite, most festive, and perhaps even most ridiculous Christmas jumper! It’s a great opportunity to embrace the holiday spirit and support children around the world.
To participate in Christmas Jumper Day, we ask that each student makes a small donation to Save the Children:
Your generous donations will help Save the Children ensure every child has the chance to grow up healthy, safe, and educated.
The fun doesn’t stop with the jumpers! On the 11th of December, there will also be:
We look forward to seeing the school full of colourful, sparkling, and fun Christmas jumpers! Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
Miss Jones.
What a week for enrichment in PE this week. Start of the week students went on fieldwork to watch Manchester City V Bayer Leverkusen. Students were full of excitement about visiting the Etihad stadium, singing and cheering supporting the team. Even though the score wasn’t the outcome some of the students would have liked, it didn’t affect their buzz.

This week in PE we have had magnitude of extra curricular fixtures that students took part in. On Wednesday the year 7 boys football team played Outwood Adwick at home, the football game was a close game but unfortunately the end score was 6-4 to Adwick. The Year 7 and 8 netball team hosted Trinity for 2 amazing netball games. Both teams were amazing and displayed some fantastic skills against a tough side, winning both games. On Thursday we hosted KS3 Badminton against Armthorpe, some brilliant skills shown but unfortunately lost 4-2. Well done to the students who took part in extra curricular this week.

Next week in PE W/C1st December
Wednesday – Year 7 and 9 netball at home finish at 4.45. Year 7 and 8 girls football at home finish at 5pm.
Thursday – Cheerleading practice 3.30-4.30 and BTEC learning labs 3.30-.4.30
Any questions please email PE team
